While wandering Manitoulin Island, I decided to take a look at a campground at which I'd previously stayed. As I drove the dirt road to it, I noticed a collapsed barn and a side building. I thought to myself how it's interesting that I hadn't noticed this when I had camped here. But then, at that time, I wasn't really engaged in this hobby yet.
As I was on the way back, I looked at the collapsed barn again and as I did, I caught a quick glimpse of a roof through the trees. I hit the brakes, threw it into reverse and went back to make sure my eyes hadn't deceived me. Sure enough... there was a house back there.
I parked and began wading through the high grass searching for a clear enough path to navigate to the house. I wasn't disappointed.
